Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180°C & grease or line a loaf tin.
Step 2: In a bowl, sift in the flour and then mix in the beer and sugar; mix combined and batter is smooth. Do not overmix!
Step 3: Pour mixture into the greased tin and drizzle over the melted butter on top of the beer bread mixture.
Step 4: Place bread into the oven and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes or until bread is golden brown on top.
Step 5: Note. If you like a softer top on the bread you can choose to mix the butter through the mix instead of on top, drizzling the butter over the bread seems to give a crustier top to the bread.
