  • 1 pound ground turkey (or beef)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups salsa, chunky (jarred)
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (4.5 ounces) chopped green chilies (any heat level)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large dutch oven, heat oil and cook turkey and onion over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring to break up the meat.

  • Step 3: Serve topped with grated cheddar cheese and diced onion, if desired.
