  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup andes mint pieces chips
  • 2 cups walnuts, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: PreHeat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl

  • Step 3: With an electric mixer, cream butter, vegetable shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract.

  • Step 4: Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.

  • Step 5: On low speed

  • Step 6: Beat in flour, baking soda and salt that you have whisked together.

  • Step 7: By hand

  • Step 8: Stir in white and milk chocolate chips, mint chips and walnuts.

  • Step 9: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

  • Step 10: Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Step 11: Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes

  • Step 12: Remove to wire racks to cool completely
