Step 1: PreHeat oven to 375°F.
Step 2: In a large bowl
Step 3: With an electric mixer, cream butter, vegetable shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
Step 4: Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 5: On low speed
Step 6: Beat in flour, baking soda and salt that you have whisked together.
Step 7: By hand
Step 8: Stir in white and milk chocolate chips, mint chips and walnuts.
Step 9: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 10: Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 11: Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes
Step 12: Remove to wire racks to cool completely
