Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound pork sausage, (breakfast type)
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled,cut in cubes
  • 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 celery rib, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 can(14 ounce)chicken broth
  • 1 can(10 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can(12 ounce) evaporated milk
  • 16 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded,(2 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon instant potatoes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown sausage and onion in a skillet.

  • Step 2: Drain well.

  • Step 3: Place potatoes, celery and carrot in bottom of Pam sprayed crock pot.

  • Step 4: Add sausage and onion mixture.

  • Step 5: Add soup

  • Step 6: Pour chicken broth over vegetables and sausage.

  • Step 7: Turn crock pot to low and cook 5 hours.

  • Step 8: During the last 5 minutes of cooking add evaporated milk instant potatoes (more if soup is thin)and cheddar cheese.

  • Step 9: Do a taste test for salt and pepper and add, if needed.
