The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound clarified butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Dry:
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Flour:
  • 1 cup ground almond flour
  • Topping:
  • 1/16 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  • Step 2: Put cooled drawn butter with oil with sugar and egg

  • Step 3: Beat until fluffy

  • Step 4: Sift dry ingredients

  • Step 5: Add to butter mixture

  • Step 6: Mix well

  • Step 7: Add almond flour

  • Step 8: Mix well

  • Step 9: Roll out onto floured board about an inch ,these are thick cookies

  • Step 10: And shape like diamonds for Christmas or wedding bells for wedding's

  • Step 11: If diamond shaped place whole clove on (some for me for presentation)

  • Step 12: Place on ungreased baking sheet

  • Step 13: Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned

  • Step 14: Roll in powdered sugar (sift on)
