  • 1 box (19 ounces) devil's food chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Frosting:
  • 8 ounces frozen whipped topping (cool whip),(3 cups)
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350.

  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, mix 1 box cake mix, 3 eggs, ¼ cup vegetable oil, ¼ cup water, and 1 teaspoon of almond extract until well blended.

  • Step 3: Add a teaspoon of rum (extract)

  • Step 4: Mix in 10 ounce jar of maraschino cherries and juice.

  • Step 5: (No stems)

  • Step 6: In a greased and floured Pam sprayed 9x13 baking dish, pour batter.

  • Step 7: Bake 30 to 35 min.

  • Step 8: Cool

  • Step 9: Mix pie filling and cool whip and frost
