Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pound whole chicken, cut up
  • Dredge:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning salt,(lawry’s)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper
  • Wet:
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cup milk,(cold ,whole)
  • Skillet:
  • 1 cup oil,(or more)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix flour, salt, garlic powder, pepper, paprika and seasoned salt together.

  • Step 2: Mix milk and eggs together.

  • Step 3: Dip washed chicken in milk and eggs mixture and then coat chicken with flour mixture.

  • Step 4: Heat oil(1/3-inch deep) over medium heat until it reaches 325° or a pinch of flour dances on top.

  • Step 5: Place chicken in oil skin side down and cover tightly.

  • Step 6: Cook chicken in oil until light brown, turning gently once or twice.

  • Step 7: L Remove cover from skillet the last five minutes or so to crisp chicken.
