Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons garlic infused oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (can use ground chicken or turkey)
  • 1 -318ml can diced tomatoes, pezzetoni style (I use the Aurora brand)
  • 2 fresh medium roma tomatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 6-8 green onion stems, sliced thinly (do not use white parts)
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried ground rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups water
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pour the oil in a large, heavy bottom pot and bring to medium heat.

  • Step 2: Add the fresh roma tomatoes, sliced onion stems, grated carrot, salt, pepper and herbs and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add the meat and cook until browned, while breaking chunks apart so it is nicely minced.

  • Step 4: Add the can diced tomatoes and water and bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened and coats the minced meat nicely.

  • Step 5: Serve over gluten free pasta.
