How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F

  • Step 2: Melt the molasses, shortening and ginger together and blend well.

  • Step 5: Dissolve the soda in 1 tablespoon boiling water and add to the molasses mix.

  • Step 7: Pour into several greased shallow pans and bake for ten minutes in a quick oven.
