Step 1: Seasoned Flour: Combine and set aside.
Step 2: Crispy Batter: Combine ingredients.
Step 3: Heat shortening to 365 degrees F.,(crisco everyone used crisco)
Step 4: Moisten with water the chicken pieces.
Step 5: Dip in seasoned flour
Step 6: Shake off excess flour
Step 7: Then batter, then back in seasoned flour.
Step 8: (Some folks put in fridge for 2 hours to let coating sit)
Step 9: Fry for 15 to 18 minutes or until well browned.
Step 10: Drain on paper towels.
