Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cans ( 28 ounces) chicken broth,(14 ounces each)
  • 2 cans (20 ounces) cream of celery soup (10 ounces each)
  • 14 ounces raw white rice, (2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F

  • Step 2: Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter and nonstick spray.

  • Step 3: In a large skillet

  • Step 4: Over medium-high heat, season beef and sausage with salt and pepper to taste and brown until halfway cooked.

  • Step 5: Add onion and celery and continue cooking until meat is cooked through.

  • Step 6: In a medium bowl

  • Step 7: Whisk together soup and broth until smooth.

  • Step 8: Pour into skillet, add rice, and stir until well combined.

  • Step 9: Pour into prepared baking dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil.

  • Step 10: Bake 1 hour 20 minutes.

  • Step 11: Remove from oven and let rest, covered, for 15 minutes.

  • Step 12: Fluff with fork before serving.
