The ingredients are:
  • Cake:
  • 1 (18 ounce) box cake mix (white or yellow)
  • 1(4 serving size) package Jell-O pistachio instant pudding
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup Club Soda (or diet 7-Up or diet Sprite or water)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup pistachio nuts, chopped (measure 1/2 cup before chopping, or use nuts of choice)
  • Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup half and half creakm
  • 1 envelope Dream Whip whipped topping
  • 1(4 serving size) package Jell-O pistachio instant pudding

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

  • Step 2: For the cake; in a large bowl using an electric mixer at medium speed beat ALL cake ingredients until well combined. Pour into pan. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool completely.

  • Step 3: For frosting; pour the half and half cream into a deep, narrow-bottom mixer bowl; add whipped topping mix and pudding mix. Beat slowly until well blended. Gradually increase beating speed to high and whip until mixture will form soft peaks (about4 to 6 minutes). Spread over colled cake. Store frosted cake in refrigerator.
