Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 pounds pork loin rib end, back bone removed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper ,to taste
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup brown gravy

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place pork roast in roasting pan.

  • Step 2: Season with salt and pepper

  • Step 3: Pour oil in pan

  • Step 4: Place in 450° oven to brown on both sides, about 30 minutes total.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle on heavily

  • Step 6: Salt, pepper, caraway seeds, worcestershire sauce, thyme and garlic powder.

  • Step 7: Place chopped celery, carrot and onion around the roast.

  • Step 8: Pour wine over the pork and add brown gravy to the pan.

  • Step 9: Cover with foil and bake at 350° F for about 2 hours.

  • Step 10: Pierce roast with a fork.

  • Step 11: When juices run clear, it is done.
