The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1⁄2 cups flour
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2⁄3 cup milk
  • Frosting:
  • 3⁄4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar,sifted
  • 1⁄2 cup cocoa
  • 6 ounces marshmallows,large

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream together 1 cup sugar and 1 cup of shortening.

  • Step 2: After you cream together add egg.

  • Step 3: Sift together 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup cocoa.

  • Step 4: Mix creamed and sifted ingredients together and add, 1 tsp vanilla, 2/3 cup of milk mixed together.

  • Step 5: After ingredients are mixed together bake in a 375°F oven for 8 minutes.

  • Step 6: At 8 minutes top each cookie with 1/2 a

  • Step 7: Large marshmallow and bake 3 minutes longer.

  • Step 8: After they are cool

  • Step 9: Frost with 3/4 cup soft butter, 3 T of water, 2 cups confectioners sugar 1/2 cup cocoa mixed together and frost cookies.
