Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen broccoli (thawed then hand-squeezed dry, do not cook the broccoli - or can use one large broccoli crown, cut into florets then lightly steamed and dried with paper towels)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 small yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 4 to 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or water combined with 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (33-35%)
  • 3 tablespoons dry white wine
  • 2 to 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (divided)
  • 1/2 each seasoned salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

  • Step 2: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in onion and saute until softened (about 3 minutes). Add in garlic; cook 1 minute. Add in flour, cayenne, seasoned salt and pepper and stir for 1 minute. Add chicken broth and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until sauce thickens and bubbles. Stir in whipping cream, wine and 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese until combined (if you like you can increase the amount of Parmesan cheese slightly).

  • Step 3: Place broccoli and chicken in the baking dish. Pour sauce over then lightly toss to combine. Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (can use more Parmesan cheese).

  • Step 4: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
