Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 pounds frozen chicken wings (DO NOT THAW)
  • 10 ounces soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional or adjust to taste)
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled
  • Fresh gingerroot (about a 1-inch piece, peeled)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a blender combine the soy sauce, both sugars, molasses or honey, cayenne pepper, garlic and ginger and black pepper; blend until smooth.

  • Step 2: Place the frozen unthawed wings in a greased disposable aluminum 10 x 12-inch pan. Pour sauce mixture over frozen chicken wings.

  • Step 3: Place oven rack to second-lowest oven. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 275 degrees and bake for 1 3/4 to 2 hours, turning and basting every 30-40 minutes. When wings are done they will be tender. Remove from sauce and serve immediately or keep warm in a crockpot.
