Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°. In an 8x8 glass baking pan, place the butter and put in the oven while its preheating. (to melt the butter)
Step 2: In a medium bowl whisk the milk, flour, sugar and baking powder together.
Step 3: When oven is preheated, pour the mixture into the baking pan. Use a spoon to ladle the pie filling over the dish, covering all areas to spread it around. DO NOT STIR.
Step 4: Bake for 30 minutes to 1 hour until the cobbler is a deep golden brown. It will puff up then settle some during baking. (Some fillings keep it from browning as quickly, but atleast 30 minutes. (my baking time is usually around 45 minutes. Serve warm!
