  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 16 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup burgundy wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 pounds tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt,(called for 3 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper,(called for 1 tablespoon)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute meat

  • Step 2: Drain if needed

  • Step 3: Remove

  • Step 4: Add oil

  • Step 5: Add onions and mushrooms

  • Step 6: Add garlic And spices

  • Step 7: Add wine add broth and tomatoes

  • Step 8: Add meat and everything else

  • Step 9: Season to taste

  • Step 10: Simmer 2 hours

  • Step 11: Stirring occasionally I think that this could go in crockpot
