The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup buttermilk (real buttermilk, not milk+lemonjuice)
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine the first 6 ingredients (butter-cinnamon). Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Let boil for 1 minutes, stirring frequently.

  • Step 2: Whisk in the vanilla and the baking soda. It will foam up when you add the baking soda. Let cook for 10 seconds.

  • Step 3: Let cool. Store in the refrigerator.
