Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced jalapeno peppers (or 1 small seeded and finely chopped)
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green onion, finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half cream (or full-fat milk)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (can use more)
  • Hot sauce or cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced jalapeno peppers
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Inch cayenne pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan combine the bell peppers with jalapeno, garlic and butter. Sprinkle in flour then mix in cream; stir until mixture simmers just lightly (do not allow to boil hard!)

  • Step 2: When mixture begins to thicken, stir in the cheese and remaining ingredients, Simmer on low heat an additional five minutes or until cheese is fully melted
