The ingredients are:
  • 2 ounces bacon,chopped,(2 slices)
  • 2 ounces hot dogs ,cut in coins ,(2 dogs)
  • 1 tablespoon bacon grease
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds cooked potatoes,(6)peeled, sliced
  • 1 cup onions ,sliced
  • 1/2 cup celery,chopped
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese,shredded
  • Garnish:
  • 8 slices tomato
  • 1 tablespoons fresh parsley,minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat bacon grease bacon and hot dogs

  • Step 2: Until browned

  • Step 3: Remove

  • Step 4: Stir in flour

  • Step 5: Gradually add vinegar /water (they had straight vinegar)

  • Step 6: Stirring until thickened

  • Step 7: Add salt and sugar

  • Step 8: Add in potatoes onion and celery

  • Step 9: Add hotdogs back in simmer for 5 minutes

  • Step 10: Take off heat and add cheese and crispy bacon

  • Step 11: Cover until cheese melts

  • Step 12: Serve tomatoes on side with parsley
