Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper,to taste
  • 1 can (15 ounce ) creamed corn
  • 1/4 cup frozen corn
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika, for dusting

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Step 2: Heat oil in a large skillet .

  • Step 3: Add onion and cook 3-4 minutes,

  • Step 4: Add ground beef, salt and pepper to taste

  • Step 5: And cook until brown and breaking up any large chunks with a spoon.

  • Step 6: Drain off most of the fat.

  • Step 7: Place into a casserole dish making a nice layer.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle on frozen corn

  • Step 9: Layer the creamed corn on top.

  • Step 10: Spread the mashed potatoes on top being sure to completely cover the corn layer.

  • Step 11: Dot with butter

  • Step 12: Sprinkle a thin dusting of paprika on top of the potatoes.

  • Step 13: Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Step 14: The corn layer should bubble slightly around the edges of the potatoes.
