Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 30 ounces cooked pinto beans,(2 cups )
  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated,(1/3 cup)
  • 1 can( 4 ounces )jalapeno chilies, drained, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mash beans until quite smooth or blend in blender.

  • Step 2: (Set aside.)

  • Step 3: Saute onion in bacon drippings until soft.

  • Step 4: Add jalapenos

  • Step 5: Add beans and remaining ingredients and stir over low heat until cheese melts.
