Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 10-inch pie pan.
Step 2: Beat the egg and the sugar together until smooth.
Step 3: Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Blend well.
Step 4: Fold in the apples, nuts and vanilla.
Step 5: Pour into the prepared pie pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Step 6: Remove from the oven
Step 7: The pudding will fall, but it's supposed to.
Step 8: Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
