The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 pound ground beef ,( chuck)
  • 1/2 cup onion,chopped
  • 1 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons leaf sage
  • 1/8 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, undrained
  • 8 ounces sour cream,(1 cup)
  • 8 ounces dry medium egg noodles, (about 4 cups)
  • 6 cups water,boiling, salted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in large skillet.

  • Step 2: Cook onion and meat until meat is browned.

  • Step 3: Pour off excess fat.

  • Step 4: Add tomato paste, salt, sage, pepper and mushrooms.

  • Step 5: Set aside.

  • Step 6: Cook noodles uncovered in rapidly boiling salted water.

  • Step 7: Cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Drain in colander.

  • Step 8: Add sour cream to meat mixture.

  • Step 9: Heat just to serving temperature.

  • Step 10: Toss with noodles to serve.
