  • 1 cup carrots,diced, peeled
  • 1/2 cup celery,chopped
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoons salt and
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper ,to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces firm white bread, cut into fourths

How to Make

  • Step 1: Fry the onions in the butter and oil over medium heat in a large pot until they begin to look translucent.

  • Step 2: Add the potatoes and carrots and fry until onions begin to turn deep golden in color.
