  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar,packed
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup pecans,finely chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: In one bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.

  • Step 2: Add eggs and vanilla

  • Step 3: Then mix well.

  • Step 4: Set aside.

  • Step 5: In another bowl, sift flour with baking soda and salt.

  • Step 6: Add flour mixture to egg mixture.

  • Step 7: Beat well and fold in nuts.

  • Step 8: Divide the dough into three portions. Place each of the dough portions on plastic wrap or wax paper and roll into a log that is 2-inches in diameter

  • Step 9: Wrap the rolls tightly and chill in refrigerator overnight.

  • Step 10: Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  • Step 11: Remove and slice dough into 1/8-inch thick cookies and arrange on ungreased cookie sheets.

  • Step 12: Bake 7 minutes
