Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, sliced thin or cubed
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 7 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 cans (30 ounces)dark red kidney beans, liquid included,(15 ounces each)
  • 2 cans (30 ounces) corn, liquid included
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes, diced,juice included
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown ground beef in stockpot

  • Step 2: Drain if needed

  • Step 3: Layer in order:

  • Step 4: The potatoes, onions, celery, kidney beans, corn and tomatoes.

  • Step 5: Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 6: Cook on medium-high heat until the stew starts to come to a boil then reduce the heat to medium-low.

  • Step 7: Let simmer until all vegetables are tender, about 45 minutes.

  • Step 8: Cook covered and simmer very low
