Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 300 grams mushrooms, chopped (not chopped large)
  • 200 grams onion, chopped (brown onion, not chopped large)
  • 10 grams garlic, minced (1 clove garlic)
  • 1/4 cup carrot, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oats (heaped instant rolled oats)
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (fresh not canned)
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (a little more may be needed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon chives (fresh)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pour the olive oil into a large heated pan; Put the onion and garlic with olive oil into the pan and sweat off, until they are soft but not colored (this will take about about 10 minutes, careful not to burn, you only need a medium heat ), add the mushrooms and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until all ingredients are well cooked.

  • Step 2: Tip mix into a strainer or a colander to drain for as long as possible, overnight in the fridge is best.

  • Step 3: Combine the cooked mix with the rest of the ingredients, if the mix is a little wet add some more breadcrumbs.

  • Step 4: Season and form into thin patties, then refrigerate until you wish to cook.
