  • 3 ounces semi sweet chocolate baking squares
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 1 1⁄2 cups butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2⁄3 cup flour
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans,chopped
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler

  • Step 2: Cool.

  • Step 3: Beat eggs and sugar until light.

  • Step 4: Add to chocolate mixture.

  • Step 5: Sift dry ingredients

  • Step 6: Add dry ingredients after blending, stir in vanilla and nuts.

  • Step 7: Bake in buttered/floured 9" x 13" pan 35 minutes at 350.

  • Step 8: Cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • Step 9: Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
