Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons dill, chopped, fresh
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon zest
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened (you may need more or less, depending on the size of your bread)
  • 6 slices (168 grams) bread (any style-my measurement is from Famous Dave's thin sliced)
  • 5 ounces cucumber, seeded and thinly sliced, (half of a large cucumber)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Get a small bowl and mix together the first six ingredients.

  • Step 2: Butter each slice of bread on one side only. Lay them out with the buttered sides up, so you can add the ingredients on to them.

  • Step 3: Put some of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice. Next, make sure the cucumber slices are not still wet. Dry them the best you can. Place cucumber slices on three pieces of bread only. Top them with the other pieces of bread to form sandwiches. Remove the crusts from the edges of the bread.

  • Step 4: If you don't want to serve them right away, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator. When you are ready, cut each sandwich into 4 triangle shaped pieces.
