  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces walnuts, coarsely-chopped (1 cup)
  • 5 ounces bing cherries, well drained diced (1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt chocolate with butter.

  • Step 2: Whisk cream, sugar, syrup, egg and vanilla.

  • Step 3: Mix flour, baking powder, salt, nuts and well-drained cherries.

  • Step 4: Add chocolate and butter mixture to eggs, cream, sugar and syrup.

  • Step 5: Pour into well of dry ingredients.

  • Step 6: Stir quickly.

  • Step 7: Spoon into muffin pans three-fourths full.

  • Step 8: Bake until tester comes out clean.

  • Step 9: Bake at 375 degrees 20-25 minutes.
