Step 1: Melt the chocolate chips.
Step 2: Stir in the cups chopped pecans.
Step 3: Set aside.
Step 4: Cream 1 pound of butter.
Step 5: Add gradually 1 1/3 cups sugar.
Step 6: Add 2 teaspoons vanilla.
Step 7: Sift 4 cups of flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step 8: Add gradually to the butter mixture.
Step 9: Add chocolate mixture using a long pronged fork.
Step 10: Streak through to marble.
Step 11: Don’t mix too much.
Step 12: Make golf ball size balls.
Step 13: Dip in sugar on one side.
Step 14: Press one pecan half into the top of the cookie.
Step 15: Put on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 16 minutes.
