Step 1: In a bowl of an electric mixer on low speed combine the first 8 ingredients (-salt) beating just until combined.
Step 2: Spray a bowl with cooking spray and place dough in bowl, turning to grease all sides. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place (I use the microwave that is turned off) until doubled in size (1 hour).
Step 3: On a floured board knead dough for about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Roll dough into a 20 x 12 inch rectangle and 1/4 inch thick.
Step 4: In an small bowl or cup combine the next three ingredients (marmalade - cardamom) and then spread mixture over the dough. Starting at one long edge of the dough roll up dough, jelly-roll fashion. Moisten edges of dough edge with water and then seal. Cut into 8 slices.
Step 5: Spray a 10 inch cast iron pan with cooking spray. Place rolls in pan and cover and let rise for about one hour or until doubled.
Step 6: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until browned.
Step 7: To make icing: In the bowl of an electric mixer at medium speed beat the cream cheese and butter together and then gradually add in the confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth. Beat in the orange juice and then spread icing on the warm rolls. Garnish with zest, if desired.
