Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 296 grams noodles (chicken-flavoured 2-minute noodles (4 x74 grams)
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese (pizza cheese specified)
  • 3/4 cup tomato pasta sauce
  • 50 grams sliced pepperoni (salami)
  • 120 grams rocket lettuce (baby rocket)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 220C/200C fan-forced.

  • Step 2: Cook noodles, with flavour sachets, in a large saucepan of boiling water for 1 minute or until almost cooked (noodles should be slightly softened) and then drain and transfer to a medium bowl and add egg and toss to combine.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a 22cm (base) cast-iron or ovenproof frying pan over medium heat and add noodle mixture. Using a spatula, press noodles over base of pan and compress and reduce heat to low and sprinkle noodles with half the pizza cheese and spread with pasta sauce and top with remaining pizza cheese and salami.

  • Step 4: Transfer pan to oven and bake pizza for 15 minutes or until golden and then let stand for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Meanwhile, combine rocket, vinegar and parmesan in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 6: Cut pizza into wedges and serve immediately with salad.
