  • 1 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 24 ounces blueberry flavored beer (2 bottles) or if not readily available, regular beer is fine, but please don't use a heavy beer such as stout
  • 4-5 ounces rum or vodka

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries, to garnish (optional)
  • 6 lime slices, to garnish (optional)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • For the Blueberry Syrup:

  • Step 1: In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed pot, combine water, brown sugar, blueberries, and lime zest. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat and simmer until blueberries begin to burst; about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and strain. Place the syrup back into the saucepan and add lavender, if using. Bring back to a simmer to release the flavors for approximately 8-10 minutes. Let cool. (This can be done the day prior and stored in the refrigerator). Once cooked strain and toss the lavender.

  • Step 2: Place the blueberries in a blender, adding some of the blueberry syrup to help it whirl (you can even add the all of the syrup if you want). The goal is to make sure blueberries have completely liquified and there is no visible lumping.

  • Cocktail Making Time

  • Step 3: Pour the beer into a large pitcher. Add the fresh lime juice and all the spirits. Add blueberry syrup and whirled blueberries. Stir to combine. Pour the cocktails into 4 or 6 glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lime, if you'd like. Serve and enjoy!
