Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 10 ounces refrigerated pizza dough (I like to buy the ball of dough from the deli at my local grocery)
  • 1 package (12 ounce) broccoli (microwave-in-bag broccoli flowerets)
  • 4 slices (4 ounces) bacon (center cut bacon slices, chopped)
  • 2/3 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (about 2 ounces)
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the dough on the counter at room temperature; cover to prevent it from drying out.

  • Step 2: Preheat the broiler to high.

  • Step 3: Microwave the broccoli according to the package instructions. Carefully open the bag; cool slightly. Halve or quarter any of the large broccoli flowerets.

  • Step 4: Cook the bacon in a 10-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes or until crisp. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon. Add the broccoli to the drippings in the pan; toss to coat. Remove the broccoli from the pan.

  • Step 5: Place the cheeses and the garlic in a bowl. Stir to combine.....the mixture will be thick.

  • Step 6: Heat the pan over medium-high heat. Roll the dough into a 10 1/2 inch circle. Add oil to the pan; swirl to coat. Remove the pan from the heat and fit the dough into the pan, pressing slightly up the sides of the pan. Spread the cheese mixture over the dough.

  • Step 7: Return the pan to medium-high heat. Cook for 2 minutes or until it is browned on the bottom.

  • Step 8: Place the pan in the oven and broil for 2 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned. Top the pizza with the broccoli mixture; broil for 1 minute. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle with the bacon.

  • Step 9: Cut into 8 wedges and enjoy!
