Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Set oven rack to second-lowest position. Line a baking/cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large bowl beat the butter vanilla, confectioners' sugar and salt. Mix in flour slowly (dough will be stiff, I use my hands for mixing). Add chopped nuts; mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls, transfer to baking sheet.
Step 3: Bake 15-20 minutes.
