Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large baking sheet or cookie sheet.
Step 2: In a bowl beat butter with both sugars until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
Step 3: Combine the flour with baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir this into the butter mixture. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Step 4: Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 5: Cool 2-3 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
