  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups poblano green chili,roasted, peeled, chopped
  • 1 cup tomatoes,chopped
  • 1 cup tomatillos, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) white kidney beans, drained

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dredge the meat in seasoned flour,that you have added all the spices

  • Step 2: Place the shortening in stew pot and brown meat at medium heat.

  • Step 3: Add onions

  • Step 4: Sauté the onions and tomatillos until tender

  • Step 5: Add rest of flour

  • Step 6: Stir

  • Step 7: Add all remaining ingredients to stewing pot and simmer at low heat for 1 hour.
