Step 1: In a large non-stick skillet with high sides, add in ground beef. With a spoon separate the beef in larger size chunks. Add in a tablespoon of butter (or you could omit the butter). Cook and brown the beef chunks very well (about 12 minutes). Add in mustard and ketchup (start with 1/2 cup ketchup) and all spices; continue to cook stirring a few minutes more.
Step 2: Add in cream and beef broth; bring to a simmer stirring.
Step 3: Mix in the dry macaroni. Bring back to a simmer. Cover and lightly simmer 20 minutes (adding in more ketchup if desired).
Step 4: Remove cover and simmer uncovered until pasta is cooked to your liking, seasoning with salt towards the end of cooking time.
Step 5: Mix in 1/4 cup of cheese until combined. Sprinkle top with more cheese. Serve.
