Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 3/4 cup water (boiling)
  • 1 cup oats (quick oats)
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (white)
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup nuts, chopped (or more)
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) chocolate chips (milk chocolate)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix in bowl and let set 10 minutes: 1 3/4 cup boiling water, 1 cup quick oats, 1 cup butter. Combine the above and stir together. Add 2 eggs and stir.

  • Step 2: Pour mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with 3/4 cup chopped nuts and 1 bag milk chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for approximately 40 minutes. (When I can find them, I use a bag of Hersheys Mini Kisses instead of the milk chocolate chips).
