Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound raw shrimp (tail on)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 tablespoons butter (salted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add shrimp to a large mixing bowl.

  • Step 2: Add olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, flour, cayenne pepper and pepper. Toss to combine, cover the bowl and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to 24 hours.

  • Step 3: Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Using a slotted spoon, add shrimp and garlic to hot skillet and season with salt and pepper

  • Step 5: Saute the shrimp until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side

  • Step 6: Remove the shrimp, but leave as much of the garlic as possible

  • Step 7: Add the salted butter and 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • Step 8: Cook the garlic in the butter until it begins to caramelize

  • Step 9: Remove from the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, the juice of 1/2 a lemon

  • Step 10: Serve shrimp over rice and drizzle with warm garlic butter. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a lemon wedge if desired
