Step 1: Put the ribs onions and watet in heavy soup kettle.
Step 2: Cover and bring to boil over high heat then reduce heat to low and simmer 3 hours.
Step 3: Remove meat,
Step 4: Let cool and discard bones.
Step 5: Return the meat to the pot.
Step 6: Stir in remaining vegetables then simmer for 1 1/2 hours partially covered. Season to taste.
