  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Green colored sugar (to roll the cookie dough in)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2: Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl, using a mixer.

  • Step 3: Add the egg and vanilla to the mix, blending well.

  • Step 4: In a medium to large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt together.

  • Step 5: Add the flour mix and the milk to the butter mixture. Blend well.

  • Step 6: Grease a cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper.

  • Step 7: With your hands, shape the cookies into 1 inch balls, then roll them in the green colored sugar.

  • Step 8: Place them on the cookie sheet; do not press them down.

  • Step 9: Bake them for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.

  • Step 10: Let the cookies cool for 2 to 3 minutes, then press a candy eyeball into the middle of each cookie.

  • Step 11: Place cookies on a wire rack to finish cooling.
