  • 3 pounds chicken legs (raw)
  • 3 pounds chicken thighs (raw)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 clove garlic,smashed
  • 1/2 cup onions,chopped
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • FOR BASE
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cups onions, chopped
  • 1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup olives (stuffed green olives )
  • 1/2 cup almonds, blanched

How to Make

  • Step 1: 15 minutes before

  • Step 2: In ziploc bag marinade chicken in the fridge smoosh around

  • Step 3: Heat oil

  • Step 4: Add onions and brown add chicken with marinade

  • Step 5: Brown chicken

  • Step 6: Add tomatoes

  • Step 7: Add water with flour mixed in

  • Step 8: Stir

  • Step 9: Cover

  • Step 10: Cook simmer 60 minutes check water levels so doesn't burn

  • Step 11: Add olives and almond cook 30 minutes more

  • Step 12: Simmer
