Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • FILLING
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (or chopped pecans)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Base, in mixing bowl, mix butter flour and brown sugar, press into a 9x9 greased pan

  • Step 2: Bake in a 350 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until delicate gold (less for glass) Remove from oven

  • Step 3: FILLING: In bowl, beaten eggs, brown sugar, oatmeal, salt. baking powder vanilla and chopped nuts. Mix well. Pour over the crumb base, return to oven and bake 20 more minutes. Cool on rack
