Step 1: Bread ... Spread 1/2 of a tablespoon cream cheese on the inside of the top and bottom bread slices. Top each slice with 1/2 tablespoon of the chopped nuts; and press the nuts in a bit - they will stick to the cream cheese. Add the apples to the bottom slice and top with the top slice.
Step 2: Microwave ... OPTIONAL. I like to microwave mine 10-15 seconds to warm up - NOT cook - This is optional. I just like the bread a bit warm; or you can also toast the bread if you prefer that. I happen to like mine un-toasted and warm. It is all personal taste.
Step 3: Serve ... ENJOY! How simple and delicious; but very healthy. Perfect for kids or that light lunch, however, you may be surprised how many adults love these.
