Step 1: Soak beans overnight.
Step 2: Parboil Beans for ten minutes with the baking soda.
Step 3: Run cold water through the beans in a strainer.
Step 4: Peel onion but leave it whole.
Step 5: Dice rind of salt port in one half inch squares.
Step 6: Put half of the pork to the bottom of bean pot with the onion.
Step 7: Add beans,.
Step 8: Put the rest of the pork on top.
Step 9: Mix other molasses, mustard, salt and pepper with 1 cup hot water. Pour over beans.
Step 10: Put in 300F oven for six hours.
Step 11: Add water to pot as necessary, to keep the beans moist. Be careful not to flood the beans.
