Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds mackerel fillets
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, sliced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bone and fillet fish.

  • Step 2: Rinse under cold water and pat dry.

  • Step 3: Place fillets, skin side down on a greased broiler pan.

  • Step 4: Combine 1 tbsp melted butter, parsley, salt and pepper and brush fish well.

  • Step 5: Broil 2 to 3 inches from heat about 5 minutes. Do not turn.

  • Step 6: Mix remaining butter with mustard, dill and lemon juice.

  • Step 7: Pour over fillets and broil for 5 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

  • Step 8: Serve garnished with lemon slices.
